Fruitful provides breakfast and lunch to all of the students who attend school and three meals a day to all of the children who live at the orphanage. The meals provided at school are critical for many pupils; it may be the only food they eat all day. Meals are simple but nutritious, including Kenyan staples like maize and beans, greens, and ugali (a dish made from maize flour). Other children in Kibera can also drop in to Fruitful for meals over the weekend if they are unable to eat at home.
