Fruitful operates a primary school for the children who resident and others in the community (approximately 60 children in total).
Kenya's government has worked to expand access to primary education by removing tuition costs in public schools, but the remaining costs of attendance - other fees, required uniforms, and textbooks - make it still prohibitively high for Kenya's poorest families. Fruitful's school is filling this critical gap within the community, though is currently operating with very limited resources (there is a big shortage of textbooks) and has been dependent on generosity from the community for desks and chairs.
